Fostering Intimacy: Growing our Capacity for Connection

An 8-week, in-person group exploring intimate relationship using IFS

Wednesdays, September 25- November 13th, 2024

7:00 - 8:45 pm, Bellingham, WA

For individuals who want to explore their inner world in the context of intimate relationships of all kinds, including parenting, friendship, family, or partnership using the Internal Family Systems Model.

What are you longing for in connection? And what gets in the way?

Bringing the IFS lens to the parts that show up in relationships, this group will support you to:

  • Identify how and why your protector parts get activated in relationships

  • Uncover the strategies these parts use and how they get in the way of authentic and satisfying connection

  • Discover the origins of these strategies and understand their positive intentions

  • Learn how to support and heal parts that block intimacy

  • Practice sourcing your worthiness and safety from inside yourself

  • Deepen in self-regulation and Self-leadership

  • Release personal and legacy burdens of individualism, relational fear, patterns of enmeshment or distancing, and more

  • Develop new communication practices that invite intimacy

  • Create new pathways for safer, courageous, and more open-hearted connection

This 8-week experiential group for individuals (no couples or bonded pairs) will involve small group or dyad work, guided practices, individual work, and group processes. As the facilitator, Wren is committed to co-creating an inclusive, culturally responsive, trauma-informed container that is neurodiversity affirmative and anti-oppressive. They welcome people of any age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, ability, relationship orientation, language and cultural background.

This course will be most beneficial if one knows the IFS framework of parts or multiplicity of mind. This can include IFS Level 1, Stepping Stones, or reading books such as No Bad Parts or Greater Than the Sum of Our Parts.

Group maximum is 8 participants. Admission to the group requires a short consultation to check for fit. Email wrenwood77@gmail.com with questions or interest or fill out the form below.
