About Wren

Wren is on a decades long journey to become a more integrated, playful, grief-honoring and embodied human, contributing to a more just and connected world. Wren is passionate about supporting people to grow and heal so they can feel more fulfilled and deeply connected to themselves and others in their lives. Wren recognizes that individual healing is important but not the end goal. Ultimately, the hope is that it moves us in a direction of more compassionate, healthy and non-oppressive systems, workplaces, families, relationships, and lineages.

Wren identifies as white, pansexual, non-binary (they/she), and able-bodied. They have been a Parent Educator and Integral Coach since 2012 and added in the Internal Family Systems model starting in 2020. Wren brings warmth, insight, and a deep trust in the wisdom and capacity to heal of each person they work with. Wren endeavors to bring an anti-oppression lens to their coaching, looking at where ideas of inferiority and superiority are affecting our relationships with ourselves and others, including the more-than-human world. One of Wren’s specialties is supporting those integrating psychedelic or empathogenic experiences and navigating major life transitions.

Wren is a Certified Internal Family Systems Practitioner, including advanced training in Intimacy From the Inside Out (an IFS model for working with dyads). Additionally, they receive regular consultation from a certified IFS Consultant and is a Program Assistant for IFSI Level One and Two trainings. Wren became a Certified Course Facilitator with the Neufeld Institute in 2018 and received certification as an Integral Coach through New Ventures West in 2012. Wren has taken the introduction to Treating Internalized Oppression and their education includes a BA from Evergreen State College, with a focus on decolonizing psychology. Other studies that have deeply influenced Wren’s life and work include the work of Bill Plotkin and Animas Valley Institute, Daniel Foor’s Ancestral Healing work, the Enneagram, Joanna Macy, Leticia Nieto, Resmaa Menakem, and Francis Weller.

Wren’s spiritual orientation is nature devotion, ancestral connection, entheogens, and being a ceremonialist. Their passions include play, decolonizing psychology, shadow work, community care and healing together, circle technology, dancing ecstatically, grief tending, singing, anti-oppression and mutual liberation work/learning, growing food, swimming in oceans, lakes and rivers, rites of passage and nature-based healing.

I now know myself to be a person of weakness and strength, liability and giftedness, darkness and light. I now know that to be whole means to reject none of it but to embrace all of it.
